    I have read cover to cover and this book is so good about going into the history of Diabetes and treatments weather good or bad. The hormonal and digestive education is key to understanding how we work and have survived ! I have been doing intermittent fasting for a few years and feel great, however , the missing technique has been EXTENDED FASTING ! I needed the this to get by my resistance to losing weight and the assurance that I will not lose muscle or drop.

    Solid information and clearly written. But poor formatting on iPad a Mac run together words. For example — “ Theunderlying assumptionofmacronutrient” a many page problem.
  • Great Guide to Fasting

    I've never fasted before but have recently started a low carb, moderate protein and high fat diet to lose weight and help my blood sugars to get under control (I have Type 1 Diabetes). This book makes fasting a very logical and heathy way to lose weight and be overall more healthy. I will be doing my first fast tomorrow and am excited to learn more as I go.
  • Tremendous resource for fasting info

    Over the last 6 months I’ve implemented time restricted eating (16-18 hour daily fasts) and have been looking to go beyond that for the theraputic benefits. This book lays out the science along with real world experiences of all the different fasting durations. Other books seem to focus on one type or only a couple types of fasting. The book is focused on examples of obese/dialbetic patients which is who Dr Fung treats. Not falling into that category made it a little less useful but it’s still the best book of fasting I’ve found.
  • PDF instead of iBooks!

    I should have read the reviews before buying this. It's a pdf file and is bot formatted fir iBooks. Here's what that means: 1. You can not copy and paste anything in the book 2. You can not highlight anything in the book 3. You can not change the font size of the text T is completely unacceptable that Apple allowed this to be sold as an iBook.

  • The Obesity Code Is a Must Read!

    The best book on the subject of obesity, bar none! Well written, full of science, but accessible to the non-technical reader. If you have wondered why you cannot seem to successfully lose weight or are frustrated with moderate weight loss success only to see it all come back again with a vengeance, then this book is a MUST read for you.
  • Formatting Issues But Wonderful Book!

    For those wanting a refund due to the formatting issues with the iBooks version, just contact the iTunes Store in your Apple account and they will refund. I let the publisher know and they are working on it from what I understand. Very quick to respond to my concerns! Meanwhile, I do recommend purchasing the Kindle version. The book is wonderful and full of great info on this topic, so I was going to get any version I could to be able to read it!
  • Terrible formatting

    Do not download this if you want to read it on your iPhone 6 Plus or smaller iPad. The font is very small so I have to zoom in. Then zoom out to flip to the next page. What a nightmare. I think I just totally wasted $10. I don't know if there is any way to get a refund. Get the Kindle version!

    Unable to read book. Each time you turn the page need to re zoom in the page. Does not have your standard controls to read the book. It's like one large PDF file. DR Fung - lazy approach and should provide refund.
